A world event of the Pharmacy in which both the 80th World Congress of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) and the 22nd National Pharmaceutical Congress will be held simultaneously. An international summit that will bring together more than 5,000 pharmacists from all over the world at the Seville Exhibition and Congress Centre (FIBES II).
What are the Arkopharma Institute 2020 Doctoral Thesis Awards?
The Arkopharma Institute 2020 Doctoral Thesis Awards are an initiative promoted by Arkopharma Institute and the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain, whose aim is to ensure that pharmacists are recognised for their research projects in the field of phytotherapy, given that pharmacists are the key figures in the study of medicinal plants and their various applications, due to their training and experience.
Objectives of the Arkopharma Institute Doctoral Thesis Awards 2020
The aim of the Arkopharma Institute and the General Pharmaceutical Council’ Awards is to recognize the contribution of pharmacists to the knowledge, development and research of natural products in all their aspects: active substances and excipients, supply of raw materials based on medicinal plants, processes, original methods of industrial production, analysis, treatment of mild or moderate pathologies, clinical trials with natural substances, regulation of ingredients and natural products.
Deadlines for the Arkopharma Institute Doctoral Thesis Awards 2020
Applications for the Arkopharma 2020 Doctoral Thesis Awards can be submitted until July 1, 2020. The period of validity will include those works defended and publicly validated between July 31, 2015 and July 31 of the current year. Application can be submitted through this link.
Arkopharma Institute Financial awards 2020
The best doctoral theses will be rewarded with a first prize of 1,500 euros and two runner-up prizes, a second prize of 1,000 euros and a third one of 500 euros. The awards ceremony will be held during the World Pharmacy Congress, at the Seville Exhibition and Conference Centre (FIBES II).
Composition of the Jury of the Awards
The jury for the Arkopharma Institute Awards will be composed of representatives from the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain and the Arkopharma Institute. This jury will decide, after reading the thesis proposals and according to the established criteria, the ranking of the three best doctoral theses.
