How can students participate in FIP Seville 2020 World Pharmacy Congress?
Pharmacy students have a crucial role in the next National and International Pharmaceutical Congress. The General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain and FIP want to strengthen their relationships with students by offering them three different ways to participate:
Working in the National and International Pharmacy Congress
For the first time, we will count with the participation of Pharmacy students to help with the organizational tasks of both congresses. Students will be able to collaborate both in the 80th FIP World Congress and in the 22nd National Pharmaceutical Congress. For this purpose, a selection process has been opened through a specialized company and a remuneration has been established in accordance with the regulations.
In order to be able to participate, in addition to being a pharmacy student, it is mandatory that those interested have a high level of English. If these requirements are fulfilled, the student must send his/her resume to the e-mail address coordinación@madisonstaff.com indicating “Pharmacy Congress” as the subject of the message.
Award for Pharmacy Students
As a novelty in this world Pharmacy meeting, a prize will be organized among the different faculties of Pharmacy simulation in the resolution of cases of Pharmaceutical Care.
This is a similar initiative to the “Patient Counselling Event” of the international students’ association and will have its own space at the 22nd National Pharmaceutical Congress. The different teams of students attending the congress will be able to present their cases and be evaluated by the Jury.
The awards ceremony will take place at the closing ceremony of the 22nd National Pharmaceutical Congress on the 17th September. The first prize will be 1,000 euros and the finalist team will be awarded 500 euros.
The jury will be made up of members of the Conference of Deans of Pharmacy Faculties, the Spanish Federation of Pharmacy Students, the Pharmaceutical Care Forum in Community Pharmacy, the Seville Pharmacists’ Chamber and the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain.
One-day invitation to the Congress
The General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain has agreed that on 16th September, both in morning and afternoon sessions, students will be able to attend the 22nd National Pharmaceutical Congress free of charge.
The participation of Pharmacy students will be carried out through the corresponding deaneries, that will manage granting of course credits.
Likewise, the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain has reached an agreement with two student residences, through MI CAMPUS, so that students can have affordable accommodation during their stay in Seville.
The student residences are the following: Campus Universitario La Cartuja – Residencia Fernando Villalón y en Campus Universitario Pablo Olavide- Residencia Celestino.
